This is an exciting period of growth and our client continues to be involved in exciting commercial projects around the Wellington region. This is an opportunity for you to embed the groundwork that has been done to date, and lead the continual development and implementation of initiatives that drive best practice across the company.

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for leading the health and safety development across the company and have involvement with people at all levels of the organisation.

• Lead the continuous improvement, development, implementation, and review of health and safety strategies, policies, procedures and action plans.
• Advise on health and safety risk management and best practice.
• Manage the digital transformation of our health and safety system.
• Manage and supervise health and safety with subcontractors.

The expertise and practice you’ll need to bring with you include

• 5+ years practical application and implementation of health and safety processes and disciplines in a construction environment
• A significant health and safety qualification and a thorough knowledge of NZ health and safety legislation including the Health & Safety at Work Act 2015
• leadership abilities – leads by example, strong relationship builder
• Problem solving expertise
• Communication – capability to interpret and analyse data, identify trends / critical risks, reports / and present key information concisely
• Planning to meet deadlines and prioritise work
