As an Activities Coordinator you will be an integral part of our dedicated team, working collaboratively to provide engaging and meaningful activities for our residents. Your role will involve creating and implementing therapeutic programs that promote physical, cognitive, emotional, and social well-being. By organizing a range of activities and events, you will enhance the quality of life for residents, fostering a positive and stimulating environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and deliver a diverse range of therapeutic programs tailored to meet the unique needs and interests of our residents.

Plan and facilitate engaging activities, including arts and crafts, music, games, outings, and exercise programs.

Promote social interaction and community engagement among residents, encouraging a sense of belonging and purpose.

Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering a caring and supportive environment.

Maintain accurate documentation and records of residents' participation and progress.

Skills and Qualifications:

Demonstrated creativity and the ability to design and implement engaging and person-centered activities.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with residents, families, and the care team.

Empathy, patience, and a genuine interest in the well-being of elderly individuals.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Be working towards (or start) working towards your NZ Diversional Therapy Certificate - Level 4
