US owned high-end luxury accommodation property located in Palliser Bay, South Wairarapa, with award winning accommodations and service located on a 3000-acre working farm, one and a half hours drive from Wellington. This is a chance to work under our new Restaurant Manager and refine and grow your hospitality expertiseet in an environment that is small, motivated, and supportive. Our food style is clean, fresh, and champions New Zealand produce, or service style is relaxed and professional. We expect the concept to reflect our ‘Wild Beautiful Luxury’ property mantra KEY TASKS The ideal applicant will have some practice in hospitality and understand that we are here to create an amazing practice for our guests and share memories. Main tasks and tasks (training will be provided): *Running & clearing plates from kitchen to table *Beverage service *Managing water service *Polishing cutlery, plates and glasses Expected from you: *Being smiley *Strong work ethic *Being flexible A decent expertise and/or interest of wine and food would be a big plus (extra credits if you have an LCQ or Duty Manager's certificate), however we can also help someone achieve this qualification so all candidates will be considered regardless. Wharekauhau will manage all uniform supply and laundering (except shoes). Personal Situation this function will require you to have a mature outlook and approach. As the property is located 1 hour and 30 minutes from Wellington and due to the sometimes-long hours, ideally you will be located locally. There is an option for onsite staff accommodation in one of our communal staff houses (private bedroom, communal cooking, social facilities), with a nominal rental deducted from wages You will have no conflicting domestic commitments that could have a diverse effect or distraction on your employment, then this is an excellent opportunity for you to join this dynamic and growing business. The property works on a shift system. You will be required to work weekends and some public holidays and allocated two days off per week and these days will change regularly. Hours will vary but there will be a minimum of 30 hours per week and during busy periods in excess of 45 hours.
