Our client is one of New Zealand's leading glass suppliers and has been operating for 30 years! During their 30 years in operation, they have set operational, product and safety benchmarks in the New Zealand glass industry. Currently employing more than 900 employees in a wide variety of roles including operations, glazing, commercial, driving, manufacturing, engineering and support services. Now they are on the hunt for their next Continuous Improvement Manager.
This position is to ensure the Wellington branch processes, work practices and quality are compliant with internal and external requirements and contributes to the deployment of the continuous improvement culture and strategy.
You will be responsible for conducting and managing quality audits following the ISO 9001:2015 framework, sustaining and improving existing processes, systems and procedures to increase customer satisfaction, reduce waste, ensure sustainability and support best practices within the production process.
To be successful in this quality lead opportunity we are looking for the following process & delivery attributes:
   » Mentor and coach departmental trainers and managers to ensure effective delivery of training programmes
   » Conduct competency assessments validating training activities and knowledge transfer
   » Development of training plans in conjunction with departmental supervisors ensuring ultimate skill flexibility across each business area
   » Conduct a skills gap analysis for each area, mapping desired state to current state and putting a plan in place to close the gap
   » In conjunction with the national Apprentice Manager provide leadership coaching and support to the plant apprentices
   » Train and coach line personnel to perform product and process inspections throughout production process to ensure consistent quality
   » Complete regular quality inspection trainings with production teams to ensure best quality practices are being maintained and opportunities for improvement are captured
To be successful in these positions, a Ministry of Justice Check, Pre-employment drug test and Two Verbal References must be satisfactory prior to commencement of this position.
