Mo tenei turanga – About this function
The Advisor, te reo Maori Workforce Supply – Te Pou Ohumahi Matauranga (Education Workforce) provides advice and supports a team that is focused on lifting the number, diversity and calibre of the education workforce, in particular the te reo Maori workforce, using workforce data to tailor existing initiatives or to establish and shape the direction of new projects and initiatives.
The Advisor will support and sometimes lead the design, development and/or improvement of key initiatives. They will be responsible for individual projects as well as supporting and collaborating on other work undertaken by the team. We are seeking for someone who is interested to lgain about operational policy and service design, and who is able to present information in easy to digest formats (including visual, written, verbal).

income range: $63,001 – $76,112 per annum plus three percent kiwi saver. The prosperous candidate will be appointed at a income which reflects individual expertise and practice.
Mohou ake – About you
As an Advisor, you will have a passion for te reo Maori and a desire to improve the opportunities for akonga to lgain in and through te reo Maori. You will assist in the development and delivery of projects using workforce data, research, evidence, and stakeholder feedback to tailor existing initiatives or to establish and shape the direction of new initiatives. You will flexibly respond to the needs of the team at a given point in time. This may include responding to sector or Ministerial queries, maintaining information collections, and gathering new information and/or research to inform current practice and focus projects.
You will also bring:
   » an capability to create and maintain relationships
   » knowledge of and a availability to increase your knowledge and application of equity and te Tiriti o Waitangi (the Treaty of Waitangi) as Information technology applies to Maori and the Crown
   » knowledge of the New Zealand education system and te reo maori immersion settings
   » an capability to communicate clearly and collaborate with other teams
   » a can do attitude.
