Te Kawa Mataaho Public Service Commissionleads the public sector to make a positive difference for New Zealand and New Zealanders.
The Public Service Fale is seeking an Advisor to join our Pacific Relationships Team. The Fale, which sits within Te Kawa Mataaho Public Service Commission, is a regional centre of excellence thatoperatesto support 16 Public Service Commissioners in the Pacific (PPSC’s) to achieve their goals to strengthen public services for their citizens. The Public Service Fale work programme is supervisen by a Governance Board of PPSCs from seven Pacific nations. We arePacific-ledin that our priorities are set by the PPSC’s, and we work closely with our strategic partner, the NZ Ministry of Foreign Affairs & Trade.
This year, the Fale will be hostingthe Pacific Public Service Commissioners annual Fono in Wellington, and therefore requireadditionalsupport to plan, deliver andestablisha hosting framework for present and future Fono.
In this function, your primary assignment is to support planning, coordination, and delivery of the Fono, working directly to the Pacific Relationships Manager of the Fale. In addition, you willprovidesecretariat and bilateral engagement support to the Pacific Relationships Team. We are seeking for someone who can:
   » use a sophisticated knowledge of Pacific cultures, context, and practices toconnect, engage and build trust with senior leaders and wider PSC colleagues across the Pacific;
   » use their practice in event management to support the delivery of the 2023 Fono alongside development of a hosting framework for future Fono; and
   » support effective,timelyand transparent bi-lateral engagement with Pacific Public Service Commissioners.

   » has event management practice;
   » has an interest and availability to serve the peoples of the Pacific.
This opportunity is a 9 month fixed term and aligned specifically to the hosting of the annual Fono.
