Job Description

We are seeking for candidates to submit their expression of interest to register in our Temp Pool fortemporary Student Support functions across the University.
The length of agreementcould be for 4 weeks or a couple of months in length with both full and part-time hours, depending on the reason for the temp request.
Dependent on the function, tasks of a temp can include:
   » Respond to queries both internally and externally
   » Support Postgraduate and International students
   » Provide specific assistance to students studying in New Zealand and remotely
   » Provide wellbeing, pastoral care and learning support
   » Help identify students at risk as well as high achieving students
   » Assist with student enrolment, visa enquires
   » Assist in creating, implementing, and reviewing support plans
   » Handle and ensure that complaints and referrals are dealt with in a confidential, sensitive, and appropriate manner
   » Assist in planning and effectively undertaking responsive student recruitment activities (expos, and other events);
   » Assist Student Support team with administration tasks

Our ideal candidate understands what a student needs and has the energy to locate the right contact, department, or guidance material that will help them do what they have set out to do. We are seeking for someone who is/has :
   » adaptable, confident, friendly, and engaging
   » practice in the delivery of academic and pastoral support
   » practice working in an environment requiring high levels of customer service delivery
   » practice and knowledge of equity issues in New Zealand
   » practice using multiple systems, like Moodle
   » practice with timetabling and scheduling will be a plus
   » demonstrated problem-solving capability
   » practice working with several key stakeholders
   » strong written and verbal communication expertise
   » demonstrated capability to maintain high ethical standards and commitment to confidentiality
   » highly developed interpersonal expertise including the capability to deal with sensitive matters
   » availcapability for meetings in person and via video calls
