We have an exciting opportunity for a clinical psychologist to join the forensic impatient service, working across the Regional ntellectual Disability Secure Services.
The opportunity:
As part of the existing team of clinical psychologists, you will have the chance to develop your professional interests and apply your expertise in psychological assessment and formulation, as well as individual and group treatment. Working collaboratively with other health professionals in a multi-disciplinary team, you will deliver evidence-based care and rehabilitation consistent with the Model of Care.
In addition to direct clinical work, you will have many opportunities to contribute to service improvement work, as the Intellectual Disability Service is expanding and welcomes psychological knowledge, theory, and process.
As a successful applicant, you will receive support for professional development and individual supervision from an experienced clinical psychologist. The Forensic Intellectual Disability Service is a dynamic and supportive workplace that values autonomous practice, research, and professional development.

The team:
The Forensic Intellectual Disability Service is a component of the 3 DHB Mental Health Addiction and Intellectual Disability Services, which provides services for adults, youth, and communities.
As a member of the multi-disciplinary team, you will collaborate with healthcare professionals committed to providing the highest quality care and rehabilitation to our population. The team possesses a wealth of expertise and knowledge in various fields relevant to intellectual disability, mental health, and challenging behaviours.
Required for this role
   » Post-graduate diploma in clinical psychology or equivalent
   » Masters or Doctoral level degree in psychology
   » Annual practicing certificate
   » Registration with the clinical scope of practice.
