Junior Accounts & Showroom Consultant

• Hybrid function for savvy switched on personality; Wairau located
• Accounts focus with a showroom consulting bent
• Junior/Intermediate expertise required, training/support for the showroom
This is a great function for someone who has a good handle on basic accounts and administration, with the capability to take on more responsibility as practice allows. The function has a very important function, as you’ll be responsible for the financial administration of two newly purchased businesses, and although not too challenging to begin with, being able to reconcile a bank statement, and have a good handle on invoicing etc, is an important prerequisite to this function.
The right person will:
• Be very well presented, and very well spoken with an excellent handle on both written and spoken English
• Have a good knowledge of priorities and the capability to communicate well around these
• Be familiar with MYOB or Xero
• Familiar with receipting package slips
• Be able to reconcile bank statements
• Understand Debtors/Credit
• Have a good sense of humour, someone who enjoys both team and autonomous work
The key to your success in this function is accuracy, communication and a relaxed and capable personality. There is certainly room for training, however basic accounts work has to be familiar to you. As you’ll be responsible also for the showroom foot traffic, being able to multi task and assist with general enquiries too, is essential. The showroom aspect of this function will be also trained, to the right person with the right personality.
In time, your function will grow in scope, and you will take on more responsibility – should you come into this, with a little more practice than required, we would still consider your application. Personality fit is key. Sense of humour, relicapability, problem solver, and a bright and cheerful attitude is the perfect fit for this function.
