Job Opportunity: Financial Accountant:EITJob description:Job DescriptionWe have an opportunity in a well-established function for a Financial Accountant interested in working with our Finance team. Our wonderful current Financial Accountant is moving onto new challenges which provides an exciting opportunity for you to add your touch to an integral function within the EIT finance team.EIT is one of New Zealand's leading Institutes of Technology and is the major provider of tertiary education in the Hawke's Bay and Tair?whiti regions. We are seeking for a self-motivated financial accountant to be a part of our finance team, particularly focussing on preparation of financial reporting information. This ranges from monthly board reports, through to full annual reports, and financial information provision in between. Treasury functions are also an important part of this function, and ensuring all financial functions assist in meeting the organisations key operating objectives. Ideally you will have some or all of the following attributes: • Strong financial accounting & compliance expertise, in particular with year-end and monthly reporting requirements • A quick learner who can easily slot into an existing team and hit the ground running, and pick up new systems • A strong knowledge of best practice finance and accounting processes • practice with computerised accounting systems, advance excel, reporting writing and general computer use • Excellent communication expertise both written and verbal • Prior practice with NetSuite an advantage Ideally you’ll be a strong team player willing to ?roll up the sleeves? and assist the team, and EIT colleagues as necessary.
