The Climate Change Chief Executives Board has been established as a new Interdepartmental Executives Board. Its function is to coordinate implementation of cross-agency actions and strategies on climate change, including the implementation of the Emissions Reduction Plan and National Adaptation Plan. Information technology will monitor, report and advise the Climate Response Ministers Group on progress at the sector and economy wide level.
We are seeking for an practiced Chief Advisor to work closely alongside the Executive Director, and Deputy Executive Director, to lead and support the team’s highly complex work programme.
You will provide intellectual leadership abilities across the Board’s work, providing high-quality advice to lead Ministers on complex and potentially contentious areas that can impact Aotearoa New Zealand’s environmental, economic, social and cultural results.
You will play a key function in ensuring cross-agency climate objectives are delivered and the Government is supported in making well informed, evidence-located decisions.
This is a permanent function, however, we are open to someone joining us on a fixed term or secondment basis, particularly from other government agencies.

   » an capability to apply M?ori worldviews in a waythat makes a significant difference to policy advice, implementation, partnerships, andrelationships with others
   » commitment to developing your cultural capcapability and capacity in te ao M?ori
   » intellectuallysharp, capable, and agile you will lead, influence and manoeuvre through complex political situations effectively
   » political savvy in terms of tact, discretion and diplomacy
   » practice in economic policy and/or modelling would be useful.

income range for this function is$216,313 to $263,495pa. Appointment within this range will be located on expertise and practice.
