This is an opportunity for an Intermediate QS to apply your expertise and commit to this contractor by working in with their strategy to capitalise on market growth in Auckland developing the business. You will be working with a QS manager to ensure jobs are run profitably with costs well accounted for. The nature of the work will encompass running of jobs up to $20M. this functions offers autonomy and major room to exercise your commercial and business nous. Reporting to the QS Manager, you will be typically working on such tasks as: » Scheduling/estimating » Tender preparation and analysis » Bills of quantities » Cost management » Subcontractor management » Progress claims and assessing variations Key success factors for this function require: » A tertiary qualification in construction management or quantity surveying » 8+ years practice worked in a hands on QS/Estimator to senior level for a main contractor » Sound expertise of the local construction market and significant commercial construction legislation and rates » You are valuable, possess strong ethical standards, you have a high work ethic » Outstanding written and oral communication This is an excellent opening for a senior QS that is looking to get into a leadership abilities function with certainty of career growth in a progressive and forward thinking construction company.
