As a business in growth mode, with an exciting pipeline of work ahead of us, we are looking for a New Business NOC/RCM Lead within our Transport New Business team. The role incorporates responsibility for optimising and driving the inputs of the New Business team to align to wider organisational strategies and initiatives.
The New Business NOC/RCM Lead will take an active role in planning and positioning the business to win, with a primary focus on optimising Downer's NOC and RCM market share. They will maintain and apply a heightened understanding of client and stakeholder procurement requirements and objectives. They will implement a consistent and best-practice approach that delivers continual improvement. This will include providing direction and guidance to the wider business on all aspects of the winning work function (in regard to NOC and RCM contracts). This will include the establishment and leadership of a New Business NOC/RCM Centre of Excellence.
As a key part of our team you will be:
   » Working with Regional GMs and Managers and the National Maintenance Management team, to position for upcoming opportunities, including leading detailed and coordinated capture planning activity
   » Driving and maintaining the three-year RCM and NOC Bid program, facilitating a coordinated NZ-wide approach (reporting to NOC/RCM governance board)
   » Contributing to the development of continual improvement plans, Finish Strong Initiatives, and Action Plans, including leading or contributing to the development and/or capture of new solutions
   » Working with operational teams to support the building and preparation of NOC/RCM bid teams, e.g. team building, training on the bid process, roles and responsibilities, etc
   » Guiding and supporting NOC and RCM capability development within the New Business Team, including establishing and leading the NB NOC/RCM Centre of Excellence
   » Managing NOC and RCM bids when required, and providing governance and oversight as a Bid Board member as required.
   » Ongoing review and strengthening of the NB NOC Programme framework (processes and tools to support best practice bidding)
   » Provide team leadership and mentorship to support and develop your team as well as supporting the operational business to increase tendering understanding and capability
   » Make a significant contribution to capture planning and tender development
   » Work as a part of the wider bid management leadership team to drive initiatives that improve our efficiency and effectiveness
   » Grow your tendering career working with high performing teams

To excel as part of our collaborative, forward-thinking Transport team you'll bring:
   » The ability to successfully lead teams including through the bid process, to optimise contributions from across a wide range of expertise and experience
   » Proven experience and track record on high value, complex multi-party bids - across construction, NOC, and local road maintenance opportunities
   » A track record of working positively and confidently with people at all levels - from executives to on-the-ground delivery staff
   » A collaborative approach to work across bid and delivery teams to devise and capture our strategy and solutions in a cohesive and compelling way - to influence outcomes and win work
   » A creative and innovative side, along with the ability and confidence to challenge and extend thinking
   » A track record of being an enthusiastic leader with excellent time management skills along with meticulous attention to detail.
   » A flexible approach with a willingness to 'muck in' as required to get the job done
