About the Employer :
This organization works closely for and with a range of stakeholders including iwi, Maori and social services, and front-line staff. The work the policy group does has a real impact on New Zealanders, delivering practical policy advice that supports wh?nau in New Zealand whose well-being is at significant risk of harm now or in the future.
About the function:
The ideal candidate will be able to provide high-quality objective analysis and advice by using an analytical eye and a critical lens, you will be representing a Ministry effectively in inter-agency working groups where you will be forming close relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
The candidate must have an knowledge of Te Ao M?ori and promote Tikanga and Te Reo M?ori and be able to incorporate this into their day-to-day work.
The prosperous Applicant will be able to:
   » Have a good knowledge of the policy development process, parliamentary processes, and the workings of legislation.
   » Have the capability to communicate complex ideas to a variety of audiences and build and maintain rapport with others.
   » Have a good knowledge of the Machinery of Government.
   » A significant tertiary qualification is desirable.
   » strong track record of leading and delivering on a policy project.
