Hosting up to 200 guests each night Milford Sound Lodge offers a variety of accommodation, guest information and booking services as well as food and beverage through our onsite Pio Pio Café, Bar, Restaurant. An exciting opportunity to join our management team has come up. We are a diverse, international and fun-loving team who work in a fast-paced, dynamic and ever-growing environment, in the remote and spectacular Fiordland mountains. We pride ourselves on our capability to tackle whatever is thrown at us, as a team, with solutions and positivity, we are here to create an practice for our team and our guests. Day to day running of the team and their tasks, to ensure high standards are met smoothly and enthusiastically. Your purpose is to support the team achieve their everyday goal to provide our guests with the BEST practice and facilitate them enjoying the process. Our duty managers team is made up of 4, the duty managers roster and day-to day is split between 2 shifts (am and pm) on a rotating 8-6 roster. The team work closely and are very supportive to each other. During the shifts you are responsible for setting up our team for success and then supporting them all over the day. Your day is really varied, anything from a team meeting to fixing a reservation to refereeing the Lodgie Olympics and all the background office jobs that keep a business ticking over. It's active and fun. Our office is full of laughter and our team are good people. Who should you be?
