We have just started our harvest season, which will last untill the end of march, 40-45 hours per week on offer (6 days a week, sundays off). Harvesting will take place in 3 shifts, morning-, afternoon/evening- and night shift. We are seeking for candidates who are willing to commit for the entire harvest period, which will last 3-4 weeks. We will be harvesting using a motorized picking platform. This means that most of the work does not involve carrying picking bags and/or ladder work, which makes the job considerably less physically demanding. The first week you'll be spending lifting nets (also 40-45 hrs per week). This task is physically more demanding, but anyone with an average fitness can do it. After the nets are lifted you will be slotted into one of the picking teams. We also need staff to prepare bins and perform other tasks supporting picking. The job is paid on hourly rate starting at $18,90 + 8% holiday pay. For pickers doing the night shift there will be extra compensation in place, hourly rate will be $21,- + 8% holiday pay. A bonus will be paid out to all staff members who stay until the end of harvest. For each hour worked you will receive $1,- extra at the end of harvest. candidates dont need any specific practice, but are expected to be well motivated and of reasonable fitness. You also have to be in possession of a valid work visa, or be a NZ resident. Diverse on-site acommodation available (dorm rooms, outside trailers or space to park up your van). Facilities include toilets, hot showers, WiFi, laundry, lounge/dining area with TV, 2 fully equipped kitchens with plenty of fridge/freezer space and an outside cooking area with BBQ.
