Vibe has been delivering services which support young people to thrive and achieve their potential for the past 24 years. The function We are really excited to be advertising for the function of Primary Mental Health Team Leader here at Vibe. This is a new leadership abilities function that has been developed in response to service growth. We are pursuing someone who will work with us to develop a vision for our mental health and addictions services. this function provide professional leadership abilities for our primary mental health and addictions services including overall co-ordination of the service delivery and reporting on contracts. This position is responsible for leading a small team of staff who are supporting young people through the provision of brief intervention counselling; whanau engagement; therapeutic group programmes; mental health and wellbeing promotion and education. The Primary Mental Health Team Leader will also work closely with other staff to develop Vibe's youth mental health and addictions services, and to ensure that all Vibe services are youth friendly, accessible, and responsive to the needs and aspirations of young people. It is anticipated that initially this function will include at least 0.4 FTE of clinical service delivery. To be prosperous in this position you will be an practiced clinician with a minimum of 5 years' practice practice. You will need to demonstrate practice in leadership abilities within a community, youth, health, or social service setting and practice in providing supervision and case management. You will bring to this position: » A registered professional with a minimum of 5 years' practice, i.e.: nursing; social worker; counsellor or therapist » significant practice in mental health services ranging from primary to secondary services » Self-motivated in developing clinical and professional practice » Direct knowledge of the complex issues in relation to adolescent development and their specific mental health needs » Demonstrated practice working with young people and their whanau » Excellent time management expertise » practice in patient management systems, such as Medtech would be an advantage but not essential » An capability to work well as part of a multi-disciplinary team » capability to take constructive feedback to help develop their own professional practice » A supportive approach to the Kaupapa, philosophy, and values of Vibe This is an exciting function that will challenge and give you the opportunity to be part of an organisation committed to the young people of the Hutt Valley.
