Legal Recoveries agent:ACC_hainesJob description:Job Description»A great team of capable, passionate people»Join an organisation that supports and develops your career »Flexible work in the house up to two days per week With ACC, you’ll be supporting people in Aotearoa to stay safe by minimising the incidence and impact of injury, as well as helping them recover from injury if an accident does happen. As a Legal Recoveries agent, you will be pivotal to the success of leading the recovery process of debt owed to ACC from clients, employers, and self-employed parties. You will be supported by ACC’s external legal provider in this process and a focus will be to ensure that the debts are recovered in a cost-effective manner. As a Legal Recoveries agent, you will also be in responsible for managing the administration of overdue levies and claimant overpayments owed by ACC customers who become insolvent. What We are seeking for from you to be prosperous in this function includes the following: » Knowledge and demonstrated success in all aspects of collections from early to late day collections » Somebody with proven success in a Collections function, modelling the behaviours of an exemplary collector » Sound knowledge of, and the capability to apply, industry recognised legal collection practices which includes debt collection strategies, policies and processes » Demonstrated financial expertise e.g. the capability to read and analyse financial statements – balance sheets, profit and loss and a sound knowledge of how businesses work » Strong negotiation and influencing expertise to manage recoveries, to deliver commercially beneficial results » An knowledge of recovery processes e.g. legislation, the function of third-party providers » practice working with liquidators, receivers, solicitors, and the Official Assignee is essential » Excellent interpersonal and communication expertise » Great self-management expertise » Should an interview be offered, please be prepared to bring an example of your work where a legal remedy has been employed You will be supported by a valuable friendly team and a great manager who will coach and develop you, this is a function where your career growth can soar.
