Job Opportunity: Psychologist/Special Education Advisor:MinEducationJob description:Job DescriptionRegistered Educational Psychologists/Special Education Advisors» Learning Support, Nelson/Whakatu, Tasman/Te Tai o Aorere » The vacancy is a permanent, full-time position Applications are invited from suitably practiced Registered Educational Psychologists, and Special Education Advisors (including registered teachers) to join our Nelson and Tasman teams. Secondments from the education sector or other agencies would also be considered. We welcome candidates from diverse backgrounds who will enrich our knowledge of the education system. The prosperous candidates will work with children and young people who have complex needs and/or severe and challenging behaviours. The work will involve using a range of significant assessment and intervention services, and includes establishing effective relationships with whanau, educators and others working in the community. expertise in applied behaviour analysis, ecological and educational assessment are required, and a demonstrated capability to apply these expertise within a contextual framework. The prosperous candidates will be able to work effectively across both school and early childhood sectors. candidates must have a current driver’s licence as travel will be required.
