About our group and team
The Special Projects Team is currently implementing two high profile projects for the Ministry of suitable education Ka Ora, Ka Ako | healthy school lunches programme and the access to free period products in schools’ initiative.
The team consists of around 25 regionally located staff who act as a point of contact for schools and kura, with a support team of 13 people that include programme coordinators, senior advisors, a business analyst, communications support and our own nutritionist. We’ve taken a regionally-led, nationally supported approach to implementing Ka Ora, Ka Ako, to emphasise local relationships, work flexibly and be able to offer solutions.
About this function
The Project Administrator will work with the Programme Coordinators to provide efficient and effective administration, planning, co-ordination and support to multiple projects.
About you
To be prosperous in this function you will be able to provide invaluable administration support to project team members. You will have strong administrative expertise to contribute to the continuing success of the two initiatives.
You will have strong organisational expertise to assist with continuing work of both initiatives, including timely management of records and files, mailbox management, data collection and other administrative tasks to support the two initiatives.
You will be able to establish strong reporting mechanisms to develop accurate records to track the progress of the two initiatives.
You will also offer the following:
   » Enthusiasm and initiative for working in collaboration
   » Flexibility and adaptcapability to meet changing priorities and resilience in dealing with competing demands
   » The capability to gather data, compile information and prepare reports using common business tools (Outlook, Word, Excel)
   » The capability to understand and apply the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and tangata whenuatanga
