Senior Financial AccountantJob location:Wellington Wellington Central Work Type: Contract » » » »Fixed-Term Contract »Wellington CBD »ASAP About the company This is an exciting 6-month contract with one of New Zealand’s largest public sector organizations. Their office is located within Wellington CBD and is a short walk from the train station. About the function The function of Financial Accountant is broad and you will have good expertise of both financial and management accounting. You will report to the Financial Controller. Your key responsibilities will include: tasks • Lead the design, development and maintenance of the Departments financial reporting systems, reports and ledgers. • Management and oversight of the production and submission of the annual reports • Review and evaluate internal business cases as required for budgeting and forecasting purposes. • Maintain oversight of key Balance Sheet accounts for the management and to ensure compliance with accounting standards and monitor balances to understand the risks/impacts on financial results. • External reporting to external parties and providing specialist Treasury skills.
