Fixed term/ secondment opportunity till 30th September 2022
The Opportunity
We are pursuing a dynamic people leader to step in and head a team of expert analysts leading a large programme of evaluative and research work. Join an environment of people passionate about producing insights that inform decision making and affect change for better social development results. Support a team producing cutting-edge analytical work investigating some of the issues that matter most to New Zealanders.
this function is opening up at an exciting time of growth for the team with insights in demand across the Ministry. There is a real opportunity to make your mark during this 14month assignment. Bring your coaching and leadership abilities expertise to help support an established team while onboard additional new functions. Help us add value early and deliver insights all over the evaluative cycle with the adoption of agile work programme management. Spearhead our engagement across the organisation on Employment and Housing portfolios, helping ensure our evaluation workplans are fit for purpose and positioned to inform decisions.
About the team
The Research and Evaluation team are champions and custodians of evidence within the Ministry. We are responsible for looking ahead, developing, and delivering a programme of research and evaluative work that produces insights and positions knowledge products to shape the Ministry's strategic decisions. We are experts in results-located design, research, and evaluation, deploying a range of methodologies to answer questions at the core of effective social development intervention. We support quality, ethics, publication, transparency, and empowerment through the research process.
