Job Opportunity: Head of School, IDEAschool:EITJob description:Job DescriptionJoin the EIT management group and the talented team at IDEAschool who are leading the way in delivery of a significant curriculum for the creative industry through Project located Creative Studies.The Head of School will work with Programme Coordinators and lecturers to enable innovative, high-quality teaching and learning, research, and community collaboration. IDEAschool provides a range of programmes including Certificates in Creative Careers, NZ Diplomas in Art and Design, Music, Fashion and Screen Production through to the Bachelor’s, the Honours and Masters in Professional Creative Practice and a number of short courses. The Head of School will have a prosperous record of leadership abilities and management practice, preferably in a tertiary environment. An knowledge, practice and empathy for the creative sector is essential together with practice with innovative teaching and programme development. As the School has a developing international strategy the Head of School will need to have entrepreneurial flair as well as an aptitude for new business development. A postgraduate qualification and research practice with a history of prosperous quality outputs an advantage. Your management function will encompass everything from: • the efficient, professional day-to-day running of the team • managing our commitments to our students • marketing, new business generation and community collaboration • promotion of research activity • the continued implementation of quality philosophy and practices.
