An exciting opportunity has emerged to appoint a Senior Researcher & Policy Advisor to the Office of the Vice Chancellor. this function reports to the Chief of Staff and is part of a newly formed team of Policy Advisors. The function directly supports key stakeholders within our Research and Innovation leadership abilities team as they make strategic decisions and lead the implementation of our operational plans.
The key purpose of this position is to provide research, analysis and advice to inform the development, delivery and monitoring of strategy, policy and planning related to Research and Innovation. this function will also make a significant impact on key University operational plans.
The person in this position is expected to maintain a leading knowledge of the current and future issues impacting the tertiary sector, to research and analyse information and prepare reports, documentation and recommendations to inform senior leader decision making. The position may also be required to draft presentations, position pieces, speaking notes or leader briefing papers as appropriate.

You will have university or tertiary education practice in a function incorporating research and policy advice. Information technology is essential that you are able to use your data-driven research to build a narrative which can be effectively communicated to senior leaders and stakeholders. Information technology is your practice of producing high-quality written documentation including reports, publications and/or presentations which will be central to your success in this function. In addition, there is a strong need for the candidate to have data science and data visualisation practice.
We are pursuing someone who is comfortable advising on policies who can demonstrate their practice of carrying out research, analysis and the preparation of formal reports. You will thrive in this function with your research expertise including quantitative and qualitative methods and analysis and critical thinking.
