THIS IS PHYSICAL WORK - kneeling, bending, lifting, carrying and reaching. No practice necessary but you need to be physically fit, have a “can-do” attitude, and be willing to work hard outdoors. Must be fit/active and able to execute outdoor physical work. Please do not apply if you have had a back, hip or knee injury as the physlcal demands are very likely to be unappropriate for you. » Hours and days negotiable. We prefer to plant from 7.30am - 3pm (ish) to avoid the heat of the day. » Orchard work is often weather dependent. Cancellations can occur on short notice. » This is casual flexible work. » Possible additonal work in January planting kiwifruit for good workers. We can accommodate short term pickers and travellers (onsite caravan $20/pp/pnight), and have campsites, locations for self contained vehicles ($10/pp/pnight), and a level camper site with power and water available ($20/pp/night).
