Here at ACC we’re scaling up our Agile ways of working and are looking for a Release Train Engineer (RTE) to come on board to help establish a new agile release train (ART) in our Technology and Innovation Group.

The RTE is a key senior leadership abilities function within ACC, who works in partnership with our Product Managers, playing both an important function in our Agile Community as well as leading ACC achieve its results. As a leader in an ART in this function you are responsible for ensuring ACC’s Agile, Lean and DevOps approach delivers optimal value for our customers and helps drive continuous improvement in everything we do.
this function is critical to the success of ACC through leading change and requires you to work with key stakeholders including Senior Leaders and Value Stream Owners. You will also be a key leader in the ART that once established will include product owners, agile coaches, scrum masters, and team members from ACC and our vendor partners. Information technology requires you to provide leadership abilities and support to your ART in the adoption of an Agile mindset focussing on supporting and optimising engineering practices.
Key responsibilities of the functions and what you need to be prosperous:
   » Work in partnership with the Product Manager and Architecture to seamlessly deliver the product vision, strategy and roadmap
   » In conjunction with the Product Manager develop the quarterly Programme Increments objectives for presentation to the governance authority and gain funding approval
   » Facilitate the planning process for Programme Increments and the planning event
   » Summarise Programme Increment planning objectives and regularly track progress towards results, covering impediments as they arise to ensure delivery of value within the PI
   » Coach and guide members of the ART including Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Team Members to prosperously deliver the organisations strategic results in alignment with continuous delivery ways of working
   » Adopt Agile, lean and DevOps ways of work such as transparency, experimentation and self-organisation
   » Identify opportunities at an Value Stream and Agile Release Train level to enhance ACC’s maturity as an agile organisation.
   » Lead the continuing design of the ART to ensure Information technology has the right culture, and resourcing of scrum teams to achieve the ART mission and results. This includes involvement in recruitment and on-boarding of team members, managing contracts with partners
   » Collaborate with Architecture and the Enterprise Portfolio Management Office and other Release Trains to take an enterprise view of change and understand dependent work and enterprise delivery roadmaps
   » In this broad and satisfying function you will inspire and collaborate to create a strong foundation for agile ways of working across ACC
