Job Description:
As an Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automation systems and processes. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements, create technical specifications, and deliver solutions that meet and exceed expectations. Your role will involve programming PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), designing HMI (Human-Machine Interface) systems, integrating industrial robots, and troubleshooting control systems to ensure seamless operations.
Key Responsibilities:
   » Design and implement automation systems based on project requirements.
   » Develop PLC programs and HMI interfaces for control and monitoring.
   » Integrate robotics and other automated systems into existing manufacturing processes.
   » Conduct testing and debugging of automation systems to ensure functionality and reliability.
   » Collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineers to optimize system performance.
   » Provide technical support and training to end-users as needed.
   » Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in automation technologies.
Requirements:
   »Electrical Design Proficiency: Demonstrated expertise in electrical system design with a focus on baggage and materials handling projects.
   » Proven experience in designing and implementing automation solutions.
   »Technical Competence: Possess a strong working knowledge of EPlan or AutoCAD, PLC Programming packages (preferably Rockwell, Omron, and Siemens), and SCADA packages (preferably Iconix or Ifix).
   » Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Modbus).
   » Hands-on experience with robotics and motion control systems is desirable.
   »Regulatory Compliance: Familiarity with AS/NZ3000 or equivalent international wiring standards and regulation
   » Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
   » Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
