They work with people/t?ngata whai mahi who are facing personal or health challenges and help them to find and keep work. You will work closely with people accessing community mental health and addictions support, social services, government agencies, training providers and employers. So you'll be working with people and their wh?nau, who have a range of backgrounds, cultures and practices. This is a permanent function working Monday – Friday, 8.30am - 5.00pm with some flexibility, located in New Plymouth. About you You'll have great people expertise and be able to easily interact and engage with anyone. Cultural competence is essential in this function, and we particularly encourage M?ori to apply. Lived practice is also valued. You’ll have » expertise of tikanga M?ori and te reo M?ori » The capability to build relationships and achieve results » Love being part of a team but can confidently work independently » The capability to think quickly and problem-solve effectively » Hold a full NZ driver licence » Have practice working in the social service, addiction, youth, mental health, discapability, employment, career development or other sectors that focus on improving people's lives It is preferred that candidates hold the New Zealand Level 4 Certificate in Health and Wellbeing or a recognised equivalent. Alternatively, you can commence free study towards this within six months of starting your employment.
