The Bail Support Service (BSS) is a justice sector service with the aim of providing people remanded in custody, or at risk of being remanded, with greater opportunities to achieve positive change early-on in their journey through the justice system. The BSS Programme, being lead by Ara Poutama Aotearoa, will implement the new justice sector service over four years. The BSS programme will work alongside Iwi/mana whenua, social service providers and justice sector stakeholders to ensure each district BSS meets the needs of the people experiencing the early parts of the justice system in the given rohe.
Success of the service will require justice sector partners to work collaboratively with the service to promote safe alternatives to remand in custody, strengthen justice and social results and improve public safety. The purpose of the Project Manager function is to plan, manage and lead various business orientated projects to prosperous results in highly visible and complex environments.
The income for this position is $96,557 – $136,316.
