The focus of this role will be to support the Commercial divisions of Microsoft, the SMC (Small, Medium and Corporate), Enterprise (Commercial and Public Sector) and consulting teams at Microsoft - including the following key duties and responsibilities: Commercial Support (40%): » Undertake detailed analysis of business performance in order to identify opportunities and risk to bring to the segment Lead and segment Controller with recommendations on how to execute for upside or risk mitigation » Support the segment Controllers in regular analysis on Big Deal Economics, customer life time Value and Digital Win Room (DWR) submissions » Support the overall month end process for Commercial Controllers including variance analysis, business performance drivers (PxQ analysis) » Support all Commercial Controllers in ad hoc analysis as required Channel Incentives (CI) - Software (25%): » Partner with local business to drive the operational design, calculation and accounting for local CI. Performs self-audit on incentive proof prior to submission to controller for approval. » Work with Partner Team to implement rhythm and rigour around determination of ROI for CI. » Ensures documentation retention for local channel incentives are auditable. » Responsible for Budgeting, Forecasting and Accounting for Channel Incentives / Month End Processes. Partner with global CI Operations team responsible for Month End Processes and Payments to understand accounting implications for the Australian subsidiary » Perform compliance reviews related to marketing payments to partners Reporting and Compliance (35%): » Partners with the business to assess reporting needs and identify standard reports or additional analysis efforts needed. » Leverage existing reporting infrastructure to provide insight into key trends and performance. Make recommendations on areas for improvement » Support the Investment controller in spend management and ROI reporting across ECIF and marketing investment » Support the Controllers in the management of Controls and Compliance (CI, ECIF, High Risk Deals,) Note that as business needs change, there may be variations on the times spent on above Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience: » Ideally 5yrs+ experience from a similar financial/business analyst background - 2yrs+ experience 'business partnering' a sales or operations team essential » Advanced excel skills essential (including power-pivots, pivots, charts, vlookups etc) and strong analytical abilities. Experience using Power BI highly preferred » Ability to work across and combine disparate data sets » Degree qualified in a relevant discipline (finance, economics, accounting) » Experience working within a complex matrix organisation with a large corporate/global structure » Previous experience dealing with complex Rebate and pricing incentive structures would be highly advantageous Adecco is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.
