Job Description

Te Kawa Mataaho Public Service Commission leads the public sector to make a positive difference for New Zealand and New Zealanders.
The Integrity, Ethics and Standards Group supports the Public Service Commissioner to promote high standards of integrity and conduct, open government and to nurture a strong, unified culture across the Public Service. We are seeking for an practiced Manager to lead a team of professionals that provide analysis, advice and deliver a work broad and exciting work programme.
As Manager you will build a cohesive and high performing team in a stimulating professional environment. You will bring strong management expertise to grow and develop the capcapability of a talented, supportive and inclusive team and help them achieve their aspirations. This is an opportunity to lead the development and delivery of interventions to influence change at a system level. In this function you will:
   » Support the implementation of public service reform, including nurturing the spirit of service that public servants bring to their work and upholding public service principles and values
   » Develop the Standards of Integrity and Conduct and guidance that sets the standards of behaviour expected of all public servants
   » Work with chief executives, leaders, expert practitioners, and key stakeholders to promote high standards of integrity and conduct across the public service
   » Ensure the effective delivery of the Commission's awards and recognition programme, manage sponsorship relationships and renewal processes
   » Lead engagement and relationship building with agencies, external stakeholders and sponsors of the awards and recognition programme
You will have:
   » Proven practice managing teams of people and the capability to select and bring together different expertise and capabilities to deliver a complex work programme
   » prosperously led the provision of advice at senior levels and practice in operational policy, implementation, and delivery
   » Sophisticated interpersonal expertise and the capability to develop relationships including understand different stakeholder's motivations and the capability to influence and persuade
   » Knowledge of te ao M?ori, tikanga and kawa and/or be open to developing a sound knowledge of the implications of Te Tiriti on today's society and public service.
