In a field where the pace of change is rapid, the Digital Public Service branch works with and through agencies to drive and deliver a customer-centred digital government. Playing a key function in supporting the Government Chief Digital agent and the framework for the strategy for the Digital Public Service, We are seeking for people who can work collaboratively to leverage our people and technology to improve and drive for a unified digital public service for all New Zealanders.
About the function:
We have a great opportunity for either a senior or principal strategic advisor to join our team on a 12-month fixed term basis. In this pivotal function you will work as part of a part of a multi-disciplinary team focused on whole of government digital strategies and initiatives. You will provide strategic high-quality advice, guidance and insights into how we can modernise the public service to meet the demands of operating in a digital world.
Bringing a collaborative approach, you will quickly foster credibility and engagement across agencies and functional leaders to help implement the Strategy for a Digital Public Service. Critical to your success will be your capability to build credibility and influence at a senior level while providing recommendations and insights to evolve our secretariat functions.
this function will work a trusted partner, so you will be passionate in developing continuous improvements to ensure enhanced and proactive quality delivery while mitigating any risk as they occur.
The scope of the function includes;
   » capability to foster strong positive relationships with senior stakeholders, including ministers and central agencies
   » Be expertiseable in a wide variety of digital, data and technology matters, especially as they relate to future organisational and systemwide investment
   » Flexible attitude and able to deal with ambiguity, while providing robust solutions for consideration and review
   » demonstrated capability to work at pace and to deliver smart solutions to complex problems while providing credible and pragmatic advice.
   » The capability to communicate succinctly and influence both written and verbal
   » Confidence to apply your expertise and expertise across a breadth of inter-agency work programmes & disciplines
   » Bring a high level of leadership abilities to a broad range of digital solutions to disparate stakeholder groups.
