Job Offer: Investment Operations Analyst:ACC_hainesJob description:Job DescriptionExciting opportunity for a new grad (graduate) who is wanting to break into the world of investments, or this could suit someone getting back into finance related work.this function is a real development function where you will get to lgain the practical applications of investments and will give you scope to move onwards and upwards. We are very proactive about growth – both in an investments sense and in our employees. Our investments team at ACC are the biggest fund manager in New Zealand, we are one of New Zealand’s top performing investment managers and we are a fairly small team – so you will get exposure to everything we do right from the beginning. So, if you are keen to grow your career right from the start – consider us as your first step. We deal with a diverse range of investment products and you would be working across these. The types of tasks that you would be involved with will include the following: » Domestic cash management » Settlements of global and domestic trades, including foreign exchange, equity and fixed interest and other derivatives » Reconciliations between investment managers and custodians of equity, fixed interest and derivative positions » Involvement in investment operations related projects What We are seeking for will include the following: » A significant degree – accounting, commerce, economic, finance etc » Strong Microsoft excel expertise » A theoretical knowledge of the investment process and an knowledge of investments instruments would be an advantage » You will also need have the capability to build relationships with stakeholders – both internally (fund managers, accountants, compliance etc) and externally (brokers, banks, custodians etc) » You will also need to have the confidence to really discuss issues with your stakeholders, you won’t be afraid to question ideas or offer your own opinions » You will be a solid problem solver and have an analytical mind.
