ACC has been improving the lives of New Zealanders since 1974. As part of the team, you’ll be supporting people in Aotearoa to stay safe by minimising the incidence and impact of injury, as well as helping them recover from injury if an accident does happen
If you have well-honed content creation expertise and a knack for producing stories that leap off the screen, we want to meet you.
We’re looking for an practiced content advisor to join our in-house content agency.
The function has a strong writing focus that requires some all-round content expertise, meaning you can down tools to write, produce, interview, and create content when duty calls.
You can also collaborate with the best of them, working across teams to unearth the most effective ways to tell our stories.
Content is your wheelhouse
You know your audience, and you know how to talk to them. You have practice creating content for multiple channels. You can adapt your style located on the channel or subject matter.
And you know what kind of content works best, when.
Translating complex information into everyday language gives you a strange yet fulfilling sense of satisfaction. In fact, communicating in plain English is second nature. As a trusted advisor, you’ll help others to approach their content in the same way.
Help us to spark national debate
You instinctively know that stats, facts and dry news releases are never going to change how people think and feel. In your function, you’ll help us create content that is provocative, gets people to stand up and take note. You might even occasionally find yourself poking the proverbial bear to get people talking about the issues that matter.
Take a peek at a couple of recent stories that we’ve produced, which sparked national conversations – on social, traditional media, and around the dinner table:

Our team is responsible for end-to-end content production. This includes writing the content, creating the social media campaigns to support it, and shooting and editing videos and photos to bring Information technology to life.
We also support our in-house media team with thought provoking opinion pieces and news-focused content.
Your function is to work across that spectrum, bringing to life stories that help illustrate how ACC brings value to New Zealanders’ lives.
Our ambition is big when Information technology comes to proactively engaging with the public. You’ll help us realise this ambition by playing a critical function in helping us conceptualise and create the content we produce.
