Job Description

ACC has been improving the lives of New Zealanders since 1974. As part of the team, you’ll be supporting people in Aotearoa to stay safe by minimising the incidence and impact of injury, as well as helping them recover from injury if an accident does happen.
As a Collections agent, you will be responsible for managing high-volume calls to support customers requiring support with payments and debts. You will be very comfortable working in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.Ensuring our customers understand their invoices and commitment to payments is key, working with them to outline an appropriate approach to payments.Attention to detail is key as you may have to discuss multiple aspects of the debt, focusing on debt clarification so Information technology makes sense, and can be managed quickly. It’s essential you have great customer service expertise and a confident telephone manner.
What We are seeking for from you to be prosperous in this function:
   » practice working in a contact centre function for at least 1 year – ideally involving debt collection or credit management (but this is not essential as we can teach you)
   » Comfortable working at a fast-pace with high volumes – Information technology can be a little overwhelming for some people
   » Great communication expertise (verbal and written) and an eye for detail
   » Comfortable working with technology
   » capability to interpret and problem solve
   » Strong time management expertise and capability to organise your day in a structured manner

The Indicative starting income for this function is $47,150. This is exclusive of ACC’s 9% superannuation contribution which would bring the total starting package to $51,393.This is a full-time, 40-hour week position the core work hours are 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 8am and 6pm.
