The Organisation

New Zealand Blood Service, a Crown entity has sole responsibility for collecting, processing, and distributing blood and blood products in New Zealand. Information technology also manages broad cellular therapies and tissue banking facilities through its Technical Services division and is the national agency responsible for organ donation. The organisation is on an exciting growth and change journey and has a great opportunity for an practiced Project Manager to join the Technical Services team.
The function
As Manager Strategic Projects you will join a growing operational delivery project team reporting to the Director Technical Services and be an active contributing member of the Technical Services Senior leadership abilities Team. You will lead and be accountable for the national delivery of a programme of technical services centred projects which are complex and have significant cross-functional impact from scope definition to operational delivery and post implementation review. With an organisational change programme underway you will be responsible for managing business change initiatives such as the deployment of new equipment and technologies nationally, ensuring resources are in place for the schedule across the organisation. This requires strong cross-functional stakeholder engagement and close interface with clinical, information systems and quality teams.
About You
Ideally you will have a minimum of five years' practice leading complex technical projects in the health, pharmaceutical, or related regulated environments. practice could also include managing regional or national operations with some project management and change management practice. You will have a highly collaborative and engaging style, strong interpersonal and stakeholder relationship management expertise, and the confidence, capability, and ?can do' attitude to drive projects and make things happen.
