This new destination will be a playful and accessible platform for exhibition and practices that bring science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics (STEAM) to life, alongside heritage collections and innovations from New Zealand's current leaders in these fields.About the function The Exhibitions Developer - Education is responsible for the development and delivery of content and interpretation for MOTAT's new centre for science, technology, and innovation (?SciTech Centre') from an educational perspective. this function is responsible for working with the rest of the SciTech Centre project team to create a concept that brings science and technology to life, aligns with New Zealand's science and technology curriculum, Te Marautanga o Aotearoa and Te Wh?riki, and encompasses a M?ori world view. Importantly, this function will provide an education lensto the SciTech Centre content and how Information technology is interpreted in text, imagery, physical, and digital interactives. This is a 2-year fixed term 20 hour per week position, with the added benefit of flexible working hours and the capability to work a portion of hours in the house each week. About you To be prosperous in this function you will have at least five years of practice delivering creative, audience-focused practices in an area related to science communication, education, or exhibition development. You will have a demonstrated knowledge of or practice working with New Zealand's curriculum documents - Te Whariki, the New Zealand Curriculum (NZC), and Te Marautanga o Aotearoa and a availability to embrace a M?ori worldview. You will have the capability to identify, understand and respond to target audiences, as well asthe capability to work collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders and team members and lead small teams of people. You willhave excellent written and oral communication expertise anda working knowledge of the considerations and processes required to work with museum collections. About us Why chose MOTAT?
