This is an opportunity for you to embed the groundwork that has been done to date, and lead the continual development and implementation of initiatives that drive best practice across the company. Key Responsibilities • Assist with the continuous improvement, development, implementation, and review of health and safety strategies, policies, procedures and action plans. • In conjunction with the HSW Advisor manage and monitor standards, processes, communications, training and systems to ensure all responsibilities connected with the companies Health and Safety policy and manual are adhered to. • Assist with the digital transformation of our health and safety system. • In conjunction with the Health & Safety Advisor manage health and safety system assessments/audits. • Assist with the superviseing of health and safety with subcontractors – from engagement, prequalification assessment and inductions, to auditing subcontractor compliance with health and safety management processes. The expertise and practice you’ll need to bring with you include • Previous practical application and implementation of health and safety processes and disciplines in a construction environment • An knowledge of NZ health and safety legislation • Problem solving – quick and effective situational analysis, balances bigger picture with immediate needs, provides sound advice and pragmatic recommendations for action • Communication – capability to interpret and analyse data, identify trends / critical risks, reports / presents key information concisely, collaborative, open communication style and working approach • Planning – prioritise work by importance and deadlines, optimize workflows and resource allocation, monitor progress against program to identify problems early.
