Have you always been interested in Palliative Care but didn't think you had the practice?Mary Potter Hospice has a wonderful opportunity for someone either with palliative care practice or who wants to grow specialist expertise in palliative care and is passionate about making a difference. Working in this environment can be extremely compensateing supporting people in your community at the most important and vulnerable time of their lives. We are recruiting for practiced and compassionate people with clinical practice to join our Wellington Community Team as a Palliative Care Coordinator. The expertise and dedication of our people make a vital difference to people in the last year of their lives and their wh?nau. The function this function delivers and coordinates specialist palliative care services for patients and their wh?nau in the Wellington Community. You will be a member of a skilled multi-disciplinary team and also work with our healthcare partners delivering quality care. All about you » Recognised as having expertise in palliative care/end of life care or oncology or transferable expertise from other fields of healthcare » You will have a postgraduate qualification (or equivalent) in palliative care (or availability to work towards) » Two years post registration palliative care practice is preferable but we will provide training and support for the right person interested in developing their expertise » Flexibility, sound time management expertise and an knowledge of and commitment to the multidisciplinary team approach to patient care are essential.
