Background
This client is in the process of implementing a significant ERP "replacement" programme. There is a large number of legacy systems that are being "merged" into one that will impact on all aspects of their business, and they are at a crucial stage of the process. The Opportunity We require a hands-on Project Specialist with PM expertise, to work alongside the Programme Manager and be involved in the implementation of a variety of modues. With the programme currently "in flight", this is a crucial time that requires Somebody with the organisational capcapability and who can step in and assume responsibility with barely a blip in the process! The environment is complex with systems ranging from finance and procurement through to highly specialised areas exclusive to the operations of this business. Requirements We don't need a senior PM. What we're after is a hands-on Project Specialist, potentially even a very good Senior Project Coordinator ready for that next step into project management. It's likely you'll have some PM qualifications, such as PRINCE2, and have worked in some capacity in change in a complex environment. This is not a technical Information technology function, but more one that requires a strong knowledge of broad business practice and the interactions between the affected disciplines. An ideal background would be coming from a multi-discipline background, such as accounting and finance, procurement, or supply chain, rather than a purely technical Information technology background.
