The Organisational Development Team, part of the Human Resources Directorate, exists to partner with leaders and our people to build the capcapability and culture the University needs to succeed now and in the future. We are strongly focused on building the people practice that enables the university to deliver its strategic objectives and exceptional results. Our four OD practice areas work together support the transformation of the University.

The opportunity | Te Whiwhinga mahi
As a senior member of OD, and part of the leadership abilities & Transformation team, the OD Manager will be responsible for developing and delivering strategic leadership abilities, engagement and culture transformation interventions. Supporting our leadership abilities and culture transformation agenda the function will be focused on designing strategic culture interventions, programme managing and facilitating our flagship leadership abilities programmes and forums, and supporting strategic change programmes with leading transformation.

You'll be passionate about leadership abilities, culture and transformation and driven to make a difference for your customers and the organisation. Being deeply committed to working collaboratively, you'll be a key player in our high performing and supportive team. As a lifelong learner who thrives on staying up to date with leading-edge practices, you'll be skilled at translating these into simple and practical solutions that work for customers in their specific contexts.
You'll have direct practice of delivering high-impact culture interventions, and of designing and facilitating leadership abilities programmes that generate sustained behavioural change.

Important expertise/ practice| Nga P?kenga Motuhake
   » Direct practice in designing and delivering a range of strategic culture, engagement, employee listening frameworks, leadership abilities/talent development and transformation projects
   » Stakeholder management practice and consulting within a large complex organisation
   » Change management and OD/Learning methodologies essential, with agile and human centred design expertise advantageous
   » Project leadership abilities or team leadership abilities, either directly or in a project environment
   » practice in complex, large-mid scale project management
   » Knowledge of te ao M?ori and the implications of the Treaty of Waitangi/ or interest in learning
   » Generalist knowledge of other OD and HR areas
