The prosperous candidate will work on a fixed-term (12 months) basis to help deliver our newly revised Major in Environmental Science.Job responsibilities: » Deliver a first-year course in Environmental Science » Help develop second-year courses of the Major in Environmental Science » Contribute to the academic life of the department by engaging in research and scholarship » Participate in departmental and university service, including student advising and committee work Appropriate qualifications: » PhD in Environmental Science or a related field » practice in teaching at the university level » skills in one or more of the following fields: pedology (soil science), limnology, environmental management, and GIS » Strong communication and interpersonal skills » capability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and students from diverse backgrounds » We offer a supportive and collegial work environment, competitive income, and opportunities for professional development.
