Toi Ora runs to the four school terms schedule. Working relationships Director, Studio Coordinator, Administrator, Tutors and Toi Ora's Community Of Artists enrolled in class. Purpose of the position To facilitate the Paint the Sky class at Toi Ora Live Art Trust. The Paint the Sky class runs Tuesday between 10am and 12 noon. To encourage and nurture creative expression through drawing and painting in a supportive environment. To provide resource information for individual artists' development as required. Services provided by Toi Ora Toi Ora Live Art Trust is a creative space for people with practice of mental ill health. www.toiora.org.nz Toi Ora provides tutored classes, resources and materials free to its artists. The programme of classes is facilitated by professional tutors, and includes creative writing, fine arts, printmaking, music, drama, and multimedia studies. Toi Ora provides a supportive environment that is conducive to arts practice for artists to explore and develop their creativity. KEY TASKS Prepare and deliver class. Provide useful resource information for individual development. Complete attendance roll for class. Undertake Art Plans with artists as appropriate. Meet with Studio Coordinator once a term for class evaluation. Notify Studio Coordinator (or similar agent) of any Artists showing signs of being/becoming unwell during class. Maintain artist confidentiality. Be familiar with the Trust's Code of Conduct. Develop an knowledge of the Trust's philosophy and objectives. PERFORMANCE STANDARDS Classes are evaluated once a year by artists. Evaluation information will be collated and discussed with the Director. Tutor Feedback forms will be available for completion once a year. QUALIFICATIONS A formal arts qualification is preferred but not essential. practice Practising artist. Previous tutoring practice. knowledge or practice of mental ill health.
