Inside the walls of ?The Shed? is a diverse and dynamic company of 60 permanent staff plus hundreds of artists and artisans who produce 19 productions each year. Over 150,000 ticket buyers enter The Court each year to feast on the varied offering of theatrical works, all created and produced on-site.The Court has matched the ever-diversifying Christchurch population and creates and supports work for everyone in our community including children and families, for the Tangata Whenua and for Christchurch's growing Pasifika communities. Costumes at The Court Theatre are made on the premises by a talented team of skilled crafts people. We are now looking for a manager for this department who can deliver quality work, to deadlines and who is calm under pressure. We require a full-time and creative manager, practiced in all facets of costume creation, design maintenance and storage. You will be a team player as well as someone who knows how to coach and mentor your team to achieve your objectives. We are seeking for someone who has a commitment to creative excellence and who can deliver on work requests and problem solve. Information technology will be a distinct advantage to have worked in a creative or theatre setting, but we would still like to hear from you have the necessary expertise and an affinity for what we do and create. You will work as part of a team, but also work independently on projects. We will need you to have flexibility in your working week as evenings and weekends may be required. You will know how to work with designers and directors, diverse cast members and team members, treating all with the dignity and respect, and consistent with our values.
