Our summer operations consist of cafe service in the Knoll Ridge Cafe at the top of the Sky Waka gondola. With a variety of dining options, we have a need for cooks and chefs at all levels of practice. THE DAY TO DAY Assisting the Head Chef in the day-to-day kitchen tasks, preparation and coordination of particular sections of kitchen production is what the bulk of the job entails. Other everyday tasks include: » Ensuring standards are maintained with respect to cooking quality, food presentation and delivery. » knowledge all outlets menus and recipes, and be able to follow instructions carefully. » Preparing and cooking appropriate amounts of stock to meet demand and minimize waste. » Ensuring the necessary stock are on hand at the right quality and quantity. » Ensuring food service is in conformity with the guests order in a manner and time frame that optimizes service quality. DOES THIS SOUND LIKE YOU? Along with your commitment to exceptional guest service, the expertise and practice a prosperous candidate will have are: » Level 3 or 4 New Zealand Certificate in Hospitality (Professional Cookery) or similar international qualification. » A Minimum of 1-2 years in a professional Kitchen for the Junior Chef positions. » A Minimum of 2-3 years in a professional Kitchen for the Senior Chef positions.
