Are you a senior communications and marketing professional with a heart for social justice and making a difference, with a availability to work as part of a team? The Mental Health Foundation wants to hear from you.
We're looking for a communications and marketing project lead to join our team to work on N?ku Te Ao: Like Minds, a national programme committed to ending the prejudice and discrimination faced by people who live with mental distress or illness.
This is a special function on a unique programme that was the first of its kind in the world. It's your chance to work on a social movement that aims to increase social inclusion, promote human rights and diversity and give the microphone to people with lived practice of mental distress as we co-design a movement with them, for them and by them.
You'll need to not only be a comms and marketing superstar, with the usual outstanding skills in writing, editing, proof-reading, creativity, problem-solving, data-analysis, project management and attention to detail, but you'll also need to be flexible, motivated, supportive, empathetic, knowledge and committed to our cause.

N?ku te Ao: Like Minds is embedded in kaupapa M?ori, and its priority audiences are M?ori and Pasifika with lived practice of mental distress. The prosperous candidate for this function will be someone who understands these audiences and has practice working with them authentically, respectfully and prosperously.
You will:
   » Have at least five years' practice in a communications or marketing function
   » Be an practiced project manager, with a proven track record of strong results, high audience engagement and excellent stakeholder management skills
   » Be a phenomenal writer, editor, interviewer and proof-reader
   » Have knowledge of Te Ao M?ori and Te Reo M?ori (or a desire to grow and extend your existing knowledge)
   » Have practice working with and knowledge of M?ori and/or Pasifika communities and/or people with lived practice of mental distress
   » Be practiced in using social media to motivate and inspire
   » Have strong relationship management skills

this function sits within the Mental Health Foundation's communications and marketing team and reports to the communications and marketing team lead.
The income range for this position is $80,000 to $90,000 and will be commensurate to the prosperous candidate’s skills and practice for the function.
