Publishing adjunct:Job description:Job detailsOrganisation Bateman Books Closes 29 Apr 2022 Posted on 14 Apr 2022 Region Auckland Work type Full time employment Work classification Literature & Publishing ShareNew Zealand's largest independent, locally owned book publisher is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated person to join our busy NZ publishing department, located in Auckland.The prosperous candidate will ideally have a basic expertise of book publishing and will support our publishing department with a range of administrative tasks. They will also have excellent written and verbal communication expertise, computer and organisational expertise, a positive attitude and a passion for books. expertise of Word, Excel, Adobe Creative Suite, Mailchimp, Photoshop and InDesign would be an advantage. Key responsibilities will include: » Generating content for and regularly updating information databases about new and existing titles; » Logging manuscripts for assessment and liaising with prospective authors about their submissions; » Preparing sales kit materials for sales reps; » Assisting the publicity department by sending out books to media for review; » Assisting the publicity department by sending out newsletters and managing information for our website; » Managing submissions for book awards; » Sending out author copies; » General day-to-day administrative tasks connected with the running of the publishing department.
