About The Tour:

The Ugly Shakespeare Company will be embarking on its 26th National Tour in 2023. Starting with a 3 week paid rehearsal period in Auckland, the tour will then begin in the South Island, followed by the North Island, visiting just over 60 schools and festivals across the tour period.
The cast will have a touring vehicle, weekly food stipend, touring costs covered and all accommodation outside of Auckland will be covered by production. Actors will be on a paid fixed-term contract for the duration of the rehearsal and tour period.
Exact dates are TBD, but you can anticipate a roughly 10-week tour beginning in late February, with a break for the school holidays.
The show this year is Adam Fresco's ?Dream' - a classic Ugly take on ?A Midsummer Night's Dream'.

What We are seeking For:
To be part of this tour you will have strong interpersonal expertise, a high level of fitness and the capability to relate to the youth market. Your comedy expertise will be utilised for this production, as well as your capability to convey Shakespeare to teenagers. No fear. No hang ups. A full drivers license is preferred.
You need to be able to commit for the whole tour.
A great practice for those willing to work hard for a positive practice.
Improv expertise and practice working with a small team is a bonus.
How to submit the application:
