Opened in 2019, this state-of-the-art facility is a Green Star rated building that incorporates library services, community programmes, venues, commercial kitchen, studios and shared working spaces. We also provide a range of Auckland Council customer services - all under one roof, delivered by one team. In this function, you'll have the opportunity to develop and deliver the overall Communities Programming strategy. You'll manage a highly motivated team who will engage, encourage and empower the community to ensure Te Manawa meets the aspirations of a liveable, thriving and connected community. You'll work with the Operations Lead and Library Service Lead to ensure an aligned approach for all activities and operational requirements, while also using your creativity to activate this exciting space in new ways. Naturally, you'll have a ?can-do' attitude, coupled with an infectious enthusiasm for your job. You'll have a good knowledge of the local community and potential customers, along with excellent relationship management and stakeholder consultation expertise. You will have practice in the community development field with demonstrated knowledge of community engagement and empowerment.
