The function is part of the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) function that works closely with the Risk and Audit team. This ensures the key risks are proactively identified and risk management processes are in place to mitigate these risks. Information technology includes Insurance programme, compliance management and management of Post-incident improvement process (PPI) to identify continuous improvement opportunities. You will have good working knowledge of enterprise risk frameworks (preferably in the financial sector) and is able to hit the ground running. The Risk advisor is responsibility for delivering the following: » Lead, develop, maintain and implement a robust ERM framework » Work with business owners to actively identify and develop appropriate risk appetite statements, metrics, risk tolerances and mitigations. » Develop and implement a programme to strengthen the culture on risk consciousness and risk management capabilities. » Ensure the effectiveness of the Enterprise Risk Management Committee (ERMC) to fulfil its mandate by maintaining their terms of reference. » Provide regular reporting and assessment on the key risks and mitigation strategies to Senior Management and Board. » Work alongside business owners and project managers on cost/benefit and risk tolerance perspectives across business operations and project lifecycles. » Assist with Insurance Programme and interact with significant departments to help ensure cost-effective insurance cover. » Build external relationships and gain knowledge of international best practice to keep the ERM framework fit for purpose and effective. Ideal candidate will have: Qualifications/ expertise/ practice · A minimum of six years' practice in internal audit and risk management and/or an advisory function in the financial services or professional services. · A significant tertiary/professional qualification · A strong understand of risk management principles and practices and its practical application to new or changing business activities or systems. · practice in determining practical risk mitigations and internal controls to manage risk gaps or control weaknesses. · A sound knowledge of the Financial Services sector, and ideally Central Banking. f you are interested in this opportunity please click the APPLY NOW button.
